Currently Arkadius Weister and Stanislas Mauser from the VRlab Team WS 2012/2013 works on a new development for the FacePuzzle application. The application will run with the Microsoft Kinect , the Xtion Pro from Asus and the Leap Motion Controller . The application gets a few pictures as input and divides them into four areas. The user then has the option to “wipe” the partial images of the different areas away, which leads to that the image in the region is replaced/postponed by an image of another person. In addition, the new Face Puzzle have the function of taking a picture. This allows users to take a new photo of himself and use it at the same time in the application.
The new version uses the OpenNI SDK and will programmed new from the start in C #. This promises a more stable and more precise ability to run the application. At the same time there is again guaranteed an executable application on Windows.
