Eine Immersion ist dabei ein subjektives, vollst\u00e4ndiges Eintauchen in eine virtuelle Realit\u00e4t, die kurzzeitig als real erlebt wird. Folgende Teilsysteme und Technologien kommen dabei zum Einsatz: Eine HTC Vive VR Datenbrille versetzt den Nutzer der Immersion in die Lage, optisch in einen 3D-Raum einzutauchen und \u00fcber bewegungsgesteuerte Controller mit der Umgebung zu interagieren. Eine VR-Umgebung Neue Welt 9 auf Unity-Basis bietet dem Nutzer eine ma\u00dfstabsgetreue, digitale 3D-Repr\u00e4sentation des gesamten Hochschulgeb\u00e4udes Nr. 9 zur freien Exploration. Ein interaktives Head-up Display iVR-HUD als non-diegetic User Interface erm\u00f6glicht es, Interaktivit\u00e4t mithilfe von Blicksteuerung in die Immersion einzubinden. Das bedeutet, dass Elemente im HUD durch Augen-Befehle des Nutzers bedient werden k\u00f6nnen. Eine fest installierte Lokomotionsplattform Cyberith Virtualizer erlaubt mit integrierten Sensoren zur Bewegungserkennung die Illusion der vollen Bewegungsfreiheit in virtuellen Umgebungen.
